For those that were at our house warming party, you saw how 1983 our house was. This house was built in 1983, decorated once, and rented for many years leading up to our purchase. It was, in fact, one of the reasons we liked this place so much...all the renovations we could do to it.

And in true DL fashion, we refused to wait for minor things like money to do the renovations. Everywhere we turn, we see something that we would like to replace, and most often I go buy it at Home Depot,...

I've recently reworked our photo gallery to fit into our workflow better. I have updated the sidebar to link to my two (sheesh) older photo galleries. I hope to be rid of the most recent archive within the month. Then I will tackle the really old archive, but I don't like my chances of converting that one!

Daniella cracks me up on a daily basis. She is talking up a storm and that is the source of my daily amusement. Elise used to say some funny things too, but she was just not so much a ham. Daniella has the Dencer propensity for drama and silliness and now that she's talking, it's non-stop hilarity at the house of the clan Dalzell. It's a good thing, too, because she will need to be funny if her testing toddler behaviour continues.

Well, it seemed like forever and it was actually only 10 days but Elise is back to normal after her run-in with Scarlet Fever. For a while there we thought we might never get our happy, compliant child back. She was rude and extremely unpleasant to be around. Not that we blame her. Her entire body looked like it was sunburnt. Her lips were dry and cracked, especially in the corners. And every six hours was forced to take hideously bad tasting medicine. So that was fine but we wondered...
