Wook at me! Haha! I’m waffing! ⇒
Daniella cracks me up on a daily basis. She is talking up a storm and that is the source of my daily amusement. Elise used to say some funny things too, but she was just not so much a ham. Daniella has the Dencer propensity for drama and silliness and now that she's talking, it's non-stop hilarity at the house of the clan Dalzell. It's a good thing, too, because she will need to be funny if her testing toddler behaviour continues.
And now for your amusement, I hope, here is an issue of Daniella says the darndest things!
- Yesterday in the car Elise was talking about Toopy and Binou, her most favourite show, and she and Daniella were laughing away just thinking about when Binou dresses up like a celery. Daniella was laughing away in a kind of dorky way and suddenly says "Haha Wook at me! haha! I'm waffing!" (Being an Elmer Fudd fan from way back when I almost drove off the road laughing so hard.)
- "I hope so...." this in itself isn't funny but for some reason when she says it her voice goes up an octave and she turns her head to the side and looks at you out of the corner of her eye.
- "not DAAAATTT!" D and Elise love playing I spy. Elise started saying "I'm not thinking about THAT" when you guess something that is the right colour but not what she was thinking about. Daniella plays along and no matter how many things you guess, each answer is met with "....not DAAAAATTTT!" This cause Colin to nearly drive off the road one day.
- "be beeahs" = Care bears
- "inabo" = in a bowl as in I'll have my macaroni in a bowl.
- "oni-oni" = macaroni. Her most favourite food. Thankfully she doesn't notice when I add pureed cauliflower or butternut squash to the sauce.
- "buppy do" = Stepping stool. I never remember and Elise always has to remind what she means.
- "Hadda" - hamster. Her very favourite stuffy. It's a Beany Baby of Linny the Ginnea Pig from Wonder Pets that Erin brought back from Vegas for Elise. He brought a frog for D because she loves frogs. She walks around with Hadda tucked under her arm constantly.
- "I like it" while nodding means...well...that's obvious BUT "I like it" while shaking her head means she doesn't.
- "A fi-wished" = all finished.
Well you can imagine I could go on and on.
