Well, the golf game sucked. I had a great time, but I played really poorly. Oh well, I will use the "it's the first game of the season" excuse. Hopefully I will start to play better. I am arranging a company golf tournament, so that should give me some incentive.

So Christine is away on a business trip (pwd: 'cariboo') until Wednesday. This means I am bacheloring it again. I am trying to keep myself busy. Friday night I had Doug, Dave, [Evan][34] and James over to play some poker. I had invited a few other people, but they, ahem, forgot about it! So the game didn't last that long. Well, I am finally back. Actually I got in Friday night but I wasn't in a state to do much. Like my flight over, I was unable to get upgraded to business class due to the plane being full. I was, however, able to get the exit row seat, which meant there was no one in front of me! Ahhhh....the leg room!

Did my last minute shopping...bought a few books for Christine and some scotch for me and John. Finally I get to restock my scotch larder!

My last two days have been quite quiet. Wednesday was more training and then dinner with my French collegue Cedric, who arrived for the last two days of training. We braved a Chinese restaurant, the Laurel, and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was quite good and the bottle of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon was very good!
