Keeping Busy ⇒

So Christine is away on a business trip (pwd: 'cariboo') until Wednesday. This means I am bacheloring it again. I am trying to keep myself busy. Friday night I had Doug, Dave, [Evan][34] and James over to play some poker. I had invited a few other people, but they, ahem, forgot about it! So the game didn't last that long. Doug had an extremely good run of cards...pulling out hands that nobody expected. Needless to say, he ended up with most of the money. Thankfully though, I won a few hands as was only down about $15. Not too bad considering the run of terrible poker I have been playing lately.

Today, I went to go play in a Ultimate tournament called C-Fest. This tournament is all about fun! In fact, the team that wins, is permanently banned from future C-Fests! The team with the best spirit however, gets to run the tournament the next year. Teams are encouraged to be in costume...the more outrageous the better. Every team must make their own sign and they are all judged later. I don't know how ours did; I think they announce it tomorrow. I will put the pictures up as soon as I get them. To foster good spirit, teams are given 30 minutes after each game to come up with a wicked cheer! Ours were ok...not bad, but not outstanding. I was playing on a team called "Uranus Attacks" and we all dressed up as aliens. I don't know who's idea it was to suggest we wear black t-shirts! It was farking hot out on the field! We did alright, won one and lost two. Not too bad for a bunch of people who had never played together! I was unaware that it was a two day tournament, so I made plans for tomorrow and I won't be able to play. D'oh!

The good news is that I am going golfing at McCleary tomorrow with Doug. First game of the year for me. I hope that I don't embarass myself.
