Well, I am finally back. Actually I got in Friday night but I wasn't in a state to do much. Like my flight over, I was unable to get upgraded to business class due to the plane being full. I was, however, able to get the exit row seat, which meant there was no one in front of me! Ahhhh....the leg room!

Did my last minute shopping...bought a few books for Christine and some scotch for me and John. Finally I get to restock my scotch larder!

My last two days have been quite quiet. Wednesday was more training and then dinner with my French collegue Cedric, who arrived for the last two days of training. We braved a Chinese restaurant, the Laurel, and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was quite good and the bottle of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon was very good! Whew, a lot has happened since my last entry. Epic UK has a wonderful Friday tradition of going to the pub together around lunch time. Before going there, I had to pick up my rental car and try my hand at driving on the wrong side of the road. Grabbed my car and headed off to the pub. Hmmmm...quite the challenge. Yesterday was uneventful, went into our office to set up for the training and make sure all was well. Got to meet many of the people...the seem friendly enough. Lunch was almost a problem...I missed the French Wench, so I had to get a ride to Sainsburys to buy a sandwich and some fruit. They have quite a good "quick" lunch section, lots of sandwiches and ready-to-eat meals.
