This is the story of a little girl who has a bit of trouble falling asleep. She knows she's tired and wants to go to bed. So I pick her and she puts her head on my shoulder. Then it pops up. Then it lays down. Then it pops up. Then she pushes away so I lay her down. She rolls over. Then she rolls back. Then she rolls over. Then she curls up. Then she straightens. Then she rolls back. Then she rolls over. Flip flop. Flip flop. Flip Flop. Sigh.

The thing is....this is how I fall asleep...

How Laid Back Is She? ⇒

Daniella is a very relaxed baby. I am also a more relaxed mama than I was two years ago. To prove the point, here is a story.

At naptime, I often put Daniella to sleep on our bed because Elise doesn't always take a nap now and if I do put her in her room, she often talks or sings and generally makes a lot of noise and wakes Daniella up. The other day I put her on our bed and after a couple of hours of not hearing a peep, went in to check on her. She wasn't on our bed. There was a split...

6 Months and Five Teeth ⇒

Daniella is half way to a year! It's been another eventful month for her. She went from sleeping through the night to all of a sudden needing to be fed every three hours. Being a lady who needs a lot of sleep, this has been a bit of a challenging transition for me, especially since Elise is starting to give up her naps: a transition I was hoping wouldn't be for a few more months.

We thought maybe she was hungry because my milk isn't enough for her anymore so we started her on solid...

We've been watching Veggie Tales lately--it's Elise's favourite show. She is particularly fond of Madame Blueberry in which Madame Blueberry is blue because she doesn't like her stuff. She even keeps photos of the nice stuff her friends and neighbours have. When a Stuff Mart opens near her home, she goes shopping to buy everything that will make her happy. On her way there she meets a poor family celebrating their little girl's birthday with only a small piece of apple pie. But instead...
