Today has not been a good day. I am hoping all my bad luck happened today so that tomorrow will go well! It started with me forgetting my passport when I left for the airport this morning. Thankfully I have an amazing wife who realized it, called me and drove out to the airport and delivered it to me! Ya Christine!!
Then when I got into Chicago, I didn't see any ATMs so I went out to try to get a cab that accepted credit cards. No luck. As an aside, why wouldn't cab drivers accept...

This day has been a long time coming! I finally (finally!!) got a new job!!! Just not the one I thought it would be! Some of you may be aware that I have been chasing a Sales Engineer job at [Make Technologies][307]. I had been in to meet everyone, the HR guy, the CEO, the CTO, the VP Sales and the Regional Manager. On Sept. 4th, they informed me that they had decided to hire a more senior SE. A few small additions. First I added my reading list. I am trying to make my way through both the Reader's and Critic's lists. It will take me a while. While on vacation, I read Brave New World and most of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenane. Reviews to follow.
Two really good friends, Loch and Cal both put up websites, so I added them to my list. More updates to follow in November when I finally have time.
