It is with great sadness that I write that my grandmother Gwendoline "Nanny Bananny" Dencer died yesterday morning. She had been quite ill - all age related complaints - and died peacefully in her sleep after only spending a couple of nights in hospital. Up until then she had lived relatively independently in my parents' basement suite. I am happy to say she was as feisty as ever until she took her last breath.
The nurses who cared for her at MSA hospital were wonderful....

Today I listened to/watched the leaders debate and I the entire time I was pissed off at Monsieur Duceppe. Why? Because he was at the debate! To this day, I don't understand how the leader of party with representatives in only one (ONE!!) province is invited to a NATIONAL debate? Why are le Bloc there and not the Green party, which at least has the decency to field a candidate in every (or nearly) riding, INCLUDING Québec? It makes absolutely no sense to me, so if anyone else can...
