My Nan ⇒

It is with great sadness that I write that my grandmother Gwendoline "Nanny Bananny" Dencer died yesterday morning. She had been quite ill - all age related complaints - and died peacefully in her sleep after only spending a couple of nights in hospital. Up until then she had lived relatively independently in my parents' basement suite. I am happy to say she was as feisty as ever until she took her last breath.

The nurses who cared for her at MSA hospital were wonderful. Hooray for nurses!

My nan was a bit complicated and often difficult but she was always kind to me and I will miss her (and our chats by her fireplace) terribly.
