The Porters ⇒

Just a brief mention about the porters on the Inca Trail. These guys are amazing!! They carry everything! Huge propance gas tanks, table, chairs, 4 (!!) days worth of food, our bags, tents, and even people! All for 60 soles, which is about $30!! And they do it fast. They are the last to leave the camp and the first to arrive. On the down hill sections they actually run ... I have no idea how they do it in sandals and not fall.

When we arrived in Aguas Callientes we all wanted to go to the hot springs for a soak, but none of us had our bathing suits. So Julio got the porters, who had already carred the bags 20 minutes away to our campsite, to bring all the bags into town so we could get the one piece of clothing we needed and then carry them (the bags) alllll the way back to the campsite! Holy shit!!

Anyway, they are amazing and earn the large tip (doubling their fee) we gave them.
