St. Louis Six ⇒

Canucks Zero?!?!?! WTF?!?! That had to be the worst game of hockey I have ever seen! Christine and I were pumped to go to our first ever playoff hockey game! We arrived a little early and every one was crowded around the TV by the bar watching the end of the Detroit-Anaheim game. Which went into triple overtime...now THAT is a playoff hockey game! We got to our great seats and the atmosphere was electric...big screen showing previous game highlights, previous playoff higlights, music blaring, people cheering. And that was before the players even took to the ice! The American anthem and flag got a huge round of applause and everyone sung the Canadian anthem....very nice! Love to see/hear that!

With 19:59 remaning in the first period the score was still 0-0. exactly 2 minutes later, the score was 2-0...for the Blues. Did that ever take the crowd out of the picture. But the Canucks picked up their play at the beginning of the 2nd period and the crowd was right there with them. And then disaster, another St. Louis goal. And then another...and another...and another. With 10 minutes to go in the game HALF of the crowd had left! At a playoff game! At home!! Unbelievable. The Vancouver Giants could have beaten the Canucks tonight.

Let's hope they can regroup and come out flying on Saturday!

Go Canucks!!
