What a blockbuster weekend; we saw two movies! Wow, control yourself Erin, don't strain!

Friday night we went out with Colleen and Kenny to see Shrek 2 at Metropolis. Although I had heard great reviews, I wasn't expecting very much. Turns out I was waaaaay off. The movie absolutely hilarious! They don't re-use many jokes, and they have a great new character, Puss 'N Boots, voiced by Antonio Banderas. He is easily the highlight of the movie! Very funny.

We recently got Shaw's digital cable package and with it came some free PPV movies. As I had seen the first two, I thought I would complete the series and watch Matrix: Revolutions. Wow. What a complete waste of time (and a free PPV credit). It was just like Lucas directed it; lousy acting, lousy story, great special effects! I think the series should have stopped after the first one, don't you?

To continue the current trend of really long trips for really small gains, I went to Toronto yesterday and I came back today!

Epic is bidding on the City of Toronto's wireless parking system (search for RFP #3412-04-7201) and the bidder's conference was today. So yesterday I flew out there. Fortunately, it wasn't a complete waste as my cousin Dave lives there. We went to his ex's for a BBQ (don't ask, it is a long story) and had an excellent time.
