The Rounds @ Ocean Park ⇒

July 26th, 2012 by

Once every couple of weeks or so, Daniella and I go for an outing in a part of town called Ocean Park. We would park at the library and start our rounds choosing books and DVD's (that she mostly never watched). Sometimes we were lucky to catch story time as well. Then we would go through the path behind the library en route to the shops. Each time we went through this little wooded pathway, I had to pretend I was walking by myself through a dark scary forest and think I had heard a wolf or rat or something and hide from it. Then Daniella would appear and I would find out it wasn't a wolf or rat but a little lost fairy/little puppy/bunny or whatever that I would adopt and take home with me. This was my favourite part of the outing. Then we would go to Cobbs for our bread and Daniella would get samples. Then to Cotton and Crayon toy store "just to look", then to The Salt Cellar for a sample of cheese and to buy deli meat. Sometimes we would cross the street and go to Chan's for produce and finally to the butcher for our meat for the coming week but it would depend if I had bought bread as I always tell the girls I am not an octopus! After which we would walk back to the library (again pretending to be afraid of a rat) and, if the mood struck me, we would pop everything in the car and walk across the parking lot to Starbucks for a hot chocolate. This is just one thing that I shall miss excruciatingly come September. Today, we did the rounds @ Ocean Park with Elise and took photos of their stuffed dogs in all the spots.
