Now Time For Good Eats ⇒
When we moved into our place at 4th and Blenheim, we bought a crappy BBQ for like $120 from Home Depot. It served us well for many years, but finally, after the starter went and replacing the burner, we decided to let it go. That was in Sept., just after we'd bought the house.
We never really realized how often we used it until it was gone and knew we wanted to replace it. But since we just bought a house, we thought we'd wait until we moved in. And then we discovered the deck needed replacing so we thought we'd wait until we got that up.
All that took us till Tuesday afternoon. The gas line went in on Monday and on Tuesday I borrowed a friends minivan and picked up The BBQ. And what a BBQ it is!
Why a Napoleon? I had my heart set, absolutely set, on the the Weber Genesis EP-310 and I wasn't to be dissuaded. Then I went to my local store to talk to them about it. There I learned that the Webers at HD were of lesser quality than the ones that were carried elsewhere and the "real" Weber was $200 more. Then I saw that Napoleons were built as good or better than Webers and they are a Canadian company that makes their BBQs in Canada. And they have a great reputation (once you start digging) and have great support. And they are cheaper than the Webers.
So we bought it. And we love it. And we will use the heck out of it!
