10 Things I Love About My Toddler -Elise 23 Months ⇒
Another era is closing with my baby. Today Elise is 23 months old. In one month, I will stop stating her age in months and start stating it in years. In one month, she will be two years old. I'll save the big touchy feely post for when she actually turns two and devote this one to telling you what I love the most about my toddler (in no particular order).
- Her "happy feet." She never just walks anywhere. She sort of wiggles her bum and runs with these quick little steps. Sometimes she even skips.
- Learning to talk. Elise is a parrot. She repeats everything we say right now - including the parts she isn't supposed to say. For example "Don't forget to say thank you, honey" "thank you honey."
- How she tries and tries until she gets it exactly the way she wants...whatever "it" may be at the time.
- Her groggy but happy morning and post nap voice and what she thinks is important to tell me as soon as she wakes up.
- "Mama come too!"
- That she pretty much does what I ask her to...I realize this will stop soon!
- Her unyielding energy.
- How she knows when she needs to be alone and won't hesitate to say she needs to be alone no matter who is around. Even if she just goes and sits in her crib for 10 minutes. I wish I could do that "uh, I know you came all this way to visit me but I really just want to be alone so if you could just wait here for ten minutes, I'm just going to sit on my bed for a while. Be right back."
- I know how happy we make her by the way her face lights up when she sees Erin and me.
- Bed time: bath, books, and cuddles.
She's growing up too fast.
