4 Months Update ⇒

Elise is four months old today. This last month has been an eventful one for firsts. On the 8th she attended her first Christmas party at the Macaroni Grill. She was part of a double feature that included potential future beau Harris, my colleague Eric's handsome baby who boasts a "mascot sized head". Lots of googoos and gagas going on at that party.

On the 18th Elise cut her first tooth. She'd been a bit fussy and then lo and behold out comes the tooth.

Elise's first Christmas was spent with family and friends. Christmas Eve at our house with Grandma and Grandpa, Nanny and Grandad, Amy and Alex. Christmas Day was at the Dencer's with all the aunts, uncles and cousins. She was a real trouper.

We rang in the new year in Coquitlam with Doug, Erica and Morgan over a pot of Erica's famous spaghetti sauce. New Year's day marked the arrival of Elise's second tooth. She's only bitten me a couple of times but since her cheeks are pink again today I think the top teeth may not be far behind so I may not make it to 6 months breast feeding! We'll see how that goes.

Yesterday she rolled over for the first time by herself from back to front. Guess we better start baby proofing.

So today she got her 4 month shots. Not nearly as traumatic as last time for her or me! She measured in the 95 percentile for length at 66 cm (26 inches) and has officially doubled her weight at 15 pounds 4 ounces.
