Last Wedding ⇒

Last weekend we went to our last wedding of the year and we ended on a high note. The wedding was in Tofino at the Middle Beach Lodge. If you haven't been there, I highly recommend it as it is right on the water and the views are spectacular.

We decided that it would make the most sense if Doug, Erica, Morgan, Christine & I all went in one vehicle. Long time since we did a road-trip with a full vehicle! Sure was fun. Unfortunately we missed our intended ferry but that did mean we got have a beer at Oyster Ya Ya's. Quite the sacrifice. Missing our ferry combined with an accident outside of Pt. Alberni made for a long, but enjoyable day.

In the morning, I realized I had forgotten how beautiful Tofino was. You could just stand on the deck and watch the ocean forever. The sound of waves made for great background wedding music! The wedding was short, but sweet and the food was excellent. We had time to wander around the beach and Tofino.

And seeing as how the evening ended early, and Doug, Dwayne, Chris & I were still around, we decided to play a little poker! As usual Dwayne was the big winner, but for a change I didn't lose that much at all. I actually think my game is starting to come around.
