Has it really been two weeks? ⇒
Wow, I have to learn to write things down as they happen, eh? I have been most remiss in my journal updating...you'd think I was taking a lesson from [brindle][293]!
Though the time gap has been long, not much has happened. Two weeks ago I spent 5 days in Ft. Lauderdale on business. Turns out that I needn't have gone as my particular skills where not used, although they might have been, which is why I went down in the first place. Here's what I learned on that trip. Florida in July is farking hot. I mean really, really, really hot. And humid. The second thing I learned is the South Beach is a great place to party...cleaner than Bourbon street, but not as long nor as busy. But great food and clubs.
Last week I went to Toronto. Toronto in July is hot. And humid.
This weekend we went camping for the first time in several years. Ahhhhhh...we should do that more often. Collen and Kenny's friends went on Thursday night and found an awesome site here. We managed to fit 5 tents and 6 cars in there!! Friday night we just chilled out, talking and drinking. Saturday we went for a small bike ride in between drinks and played at the beach while drinking. Then we came back to the campsite and drank some more. Sunday we attempted to hike to Radium Lake, but apparently lots of drinking and heavy eating, combined with no exercise in the last 2 weeks, makes a steep hike very challenging!! We made it half way there and came back for some beach time and more drinking.
The discovery of the weekend was Kenny's homemade burgers....the Alexander Burger. I will post the recipie when he sends it to me, but I do know one ingredient...Keith's! Mmmmm...tasty.
Our next camping trip is out at the Gorge when we see Dave Matthews...can't wait!
