Hola from Peru ⇒

We made it to Lima safe and sound (and very tired!). It's not a very attractive city but our hotel is safe and clean and actually quite nice by budget travelling standards, anyway...hot water, no bugs, etc.

On our stopover in LA we were supposed to meet Cady from our Africa trip but she had food poisoning so we went to Santa Monica for a couple of hours instead. We learned from a local that Santa Monica doesn't suffer from smog...all that cloud is the "marine layer"...riiiiighhht!

We're joining our tour tonight at 6:00 and we're off to Ballestes Island tomorrow to see sea lions.
