Friday night I had my (almost) monthly poker game. It was scheduled on short notice because I found out that a friend was moving away and we needed to help him get rid of his Canadian dollars! Dale Reimer, an ex-boss of mine is moving to Charleston, South Carolina!! Turns out his wife got a job teaching out there recently, so they are uprooting and movin' to the south. We wish them best and I hope that Dale finds something to do with all his time!

As this was the last chance to take Dale's money I had a pretty good turn-out. Even Loch came out!! Which is amazing as I hadn't seen him in over a year!! In total there were 9 poker players, which is a great number as it allows two small tables to be used. Other than Loch, it was the usual crowd; Evan, Doug, Dale, Dave P, Dave S, Dave F, Dale and Kam.

As you are aware, I have been on a terrible losing streak and I was looking to end it tonight. To help me, I grabbed a book out of the library. It is quite an interesting read. It definately helped me in the beginning. After the first few hours I was actually up quite a bit. And then I got tired and the drinks slowed my processes a little. I wasn't drinking a lot, but by 2AM, you tend to get a little groggy!! I ended up quitting when I was exactly even! Not too bad. Not too bad at all. As George Costanza would say, "I'm back baby, I'm back!!"

Probably won't play again until after our trip, so I have plenty of time to memorize the whole book!!
