I owe, I owe, it’s off to work I go ⇒
Many of you know that I haven't been exactly happy with my current role at Epic Data. I am pleased to say that things are indeed improving. As it it stands, I am no longer developing...yahoo! I was invited to participate in Epic's quarterly sales meeting where we announced a new product, our MPT 9100! Finally, it looks like I will be getting more involved in the sales process. Since then I was asked to do a demonstration for a prospective customer, and I hope to do more in the future. I have also been tasked with managing the developer training, to teach our developers the best way to build eXpresso applications. So far, I have completed one one-day training session that went quite well. Next up, a 2 1/2 day session that covers more advanced topics. And then a 5 days session that covers the entire gamut of topics. After I get some feedback on that training, I will be jetting off to our offices in Newbury to train our UK & European developers.
I am also in charge of designing and implementing a company-wide Knowledge Base. We have decided on using Microsoft's Sharepoint as our base. Looks like an interesting product actually.
On the other job front, I had an excellent interview at ActiveState for an Account Executive role. I hope to hear more from them this week. I am also hoping to get in to talk with some people at Microsoft and MDSI to learn more about their organizations.
So, all in all, life is moving along nicely.
