Feelings? ⇒

Last week I learned that my grandfather (grandpa) on my mother's side, was quite ill. He had several serious ailments for quite some time and earlier this week things took a turn for the worse. He had surgery Tuesday (or Wednesday) and that made him much more comfortable and lucid. Last night however, his body decided that enough was enough and he passed away peacefully in his sleep.

Here's the thing, how do I balance my memories of him with the knowledge I have of what kind of person...

Congratulations Richard and Allison ⇒

Just a quick note of congratulations to Richard and Allison Lewis on the birth of their daughter Lauren Allison Lewis. Lauren's journey to the Lewis family was the longest one I know of. This is a couple who tried for many years (I'm thinking it was about 5 years) to have this baby. Now, after a very difficult delivery, they have their new daughter and I am so happy for them I had to share their story with you.

Lauren was born on Saturday morning, 3 weeks early, at 7 pounds 4 ounces....

Hooray for Gaviscon - 33 Week Update ⇒

As soon as this baby is born, I am having a feast of Greek food including garlic toast with chocolate for dessert. If you ever hear a pregnant woman complain about heartburn again, I hope you will have the utmost sympathy for her. If you've never experienced severe heartburn or acid reflux in your life consider yourself lucky.
