Elise is 8 months old and weighs just over 18 pounds (8.3 kg)! She is teething like mad--tending to be a little fast in this department. I have a calendar that came with stickers to document her first year and they stopped providing stickers for teeth at 4. Lucky for her (and us, I suppose) the teething doesn't seem to bother her all that much. She now has 7 - four on top and the third one just cut through on the bottom.

We have a Baby Einstein farm animals book that we are starting to read to Elise. Well, we were starting to read it to her, until we discovered that for some reason, she is very scared of that book. Especially the page with the sheep on it. Whenever she gets to that page, she starts crying!!

As promised, here is the update for the remainder of our trip. I couldn't get it out any sooner due to getting life restarted and jet lag and a myriad of other things...you know how it is.

Hi there, I just got back from France after travelling for a month with the Big People. It was very exciting going on the big airplane - I got my own bed to stretch out and sleep in (I think Mama and Papa were jealous). Everyone on board the Lufthansa flight was so nice...they even gave me toys to play with but they weren't as entertaining as Mama's purse.
