So we could celebrate our 11th (holy smokes!!) anniversary, my parents took the girls overnight yesterday. We hadn't made any plans but we decided, on the spur of the moment, to go to

Bumbershoot and to spend the night in Seattle. After finding an amazing deal on parking (only $10 for the day), we got in around 1:30 and sat by the fountain to figure out what we wanted to do/see/hear. ...in a hospitality suite at GM Place watching Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Oh yeah! The Boss! What a great birthday. A bunch of old guys ROCKIN' and I mean rockin' for 2 and a half hours without stopping. Did I mention my ticket was free? Thanks Sherry! I had a great time. sigh...well, I guess I've rubbed it in enough.

#1 Band in #1 Venue ⇒

On the weekend I went to see my favourite band, Dave Matthews Band, in my favourite venue, the Gorge, with Doug. If you haven't been to the Gorge for a concert, I highly, highly recommend going. It is an outdoor venue overlooking the Columbia river, the sun sets right behind the stage just before the concert starts and just love the way the music wafts over your head.
