I have just embarked on a new career as a Stay at Home Mom and Homemaker. I am quite excited about this--I certainly don't mind the commute. Sure the financial rewards suck but the perks are great. Just like any other job, I have a lot to learn. Anyone who knows me knows I am a lousy homemaker. Christine and I have decided that it is time to reign in our free-spending ways and actually start saving more money. We have been contributing to RRSPs and RESPs regularly, but we should be much further ahead than we are, considering how much money we make. I am reading a decent book, Start Late, Finish Rich, that is mostly common sense, but it has been a catalyst for us to get sorted.

Christine and I have heard many people say that 24 is a great show that is worth watching. So a few weeks ago I downloaded the first season (shame on me!!) so we can see if we like it.

We are 6 hours (episodes) in and I am definitely NOT hooked on it. I find that it asks me to ignore reality too much. It takes place in the current year with no special plot mechanisms (magic, fantasy, etc) so it should be at least a little believable. But in each episode something is done that is so out...
