Garbage Anyone? ⇒

Vancouver is having a civil strike right now, which means that the garbage bins are not being emptied.

My question is, would people put garbage BESIDE the garbage can when it is full if there was no garbage can? I just don't understand why people put the garbage on the ground; if the garbage bin is full why not just carry your garbage to another place?

I think the city should have gone around an removed all of the garbage cans before the strike took effect; less garbage that way.

Making Our Space Better ⇒

Even though we know we can't stay in our place for long (one too few bedrooms), we continue to improve our living conditions:

  • Sod Off! - we have removed about a third of our back garden and will be putting sod in so that the girls can have a more play space. Once we remove a stubborn bush, we will lay the sod and make it look all purdy.

It is the most beautiful day in White Rock today. The sky is bright blue and there are no clouds in it. It is hot but there is a significant breeze blowing so it doesn't feel too hot.
