What shall we do. We are trying to save for our trip to Peru, but I wouldn't mind getting out of the city for the weekend. I am thinking about heading down to Seattle for Bumbershoot. It is a 4 days arts festival that occurs in the park surrounding the Space Needle. They have awesome music, a film festival, comedy, crafts and many other cultural events. I was driving home yesterday when I encountered my pet peeve. I was in the left-hand lane approaching a red light, with a car in front of me. There was no one in the right-hand lane. I stay in the left lane as the right-hand lane merge just after the intersection. When the light goes green, the car in front of me moves forward about 15 feet and then slows down and turns on their left turn signal!!!!! WTF?!?! I learned something neat today. George Mackay, a Scot, came over to Vancouver in 1888 when he was 62. By the time he died five years later he had accomplished quite a bit. He established Vernon, bought and created the Capilano Suspension Bridge and set aside Stanley Park as a recreational area!!!!
