Usually I start my day with a cuddle with the wee beast; sometime between 5:30 and 6:30 she wakes me up and I bring her into bed with me. Then I sleep for about another hour before putting her down and going to work.

This morning Christine woke me up at 8am!! My alarm didn't go off! Silly girl!

The really bummer was that I missed my morning cuddle.

What Cry is This? ⇒

Elise has developed many new cries since birth. Gone are the days of the sweet newborn cry. Now we are left with a challenge that would rival many tv gameshows. Let's all play: What Cry is This?

  1. Sqeals interspersed with talking. What is the "I'm starting to get fed up with this toy and I don't really want to cry" cry.
  2. "Hello Big People?...Big People?....BIG PEOPLE!!"

As you can imagine, I am watching many more movies these days than I used to. Here is a list, in no particular order, of some of movies I have seen recently along with a brief review:

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - so bad I couldn't watch more than 20 minutes of it. Too bad really as it had such potential with Depp and Burton back together again. I really feel they wrecked the whimsical quality of the first movie.

Crash - Wow. Wow. Outstanding movie that attempts to show the effect...

3 o’clock and all’s well.. ⇒

For about five weeks, Elise has consistently been going 5-6 hours between feeds for her first block of sleep at night. If this happens between 12 and 5, it is considered sleeping through the night. For Elise, this has been from 9 until 3.

So...the other night she went for 9 hours between feeds and yet I was still up at 3 o'clock because she starting sleeping at 7:30 after her 6:30 dinner. Oy vey!

Since then, I got some advice from the Baby Whisperer and we are now trying dream feedings...
