Since we have decided to home school our children, I have become very interested in how people learn and how I can help my kids learn. Being a techno-geek, I of course, am looking into how technology can be used effectively.

Our kids love the iPad (and iPhone) and when they are using it, it is an extremely immersive experience. This makes me think that if there were some entertaining and educational games that the kids would learn things very quickly.

I found an IT guy in Scotland who has been in charge of deploying iPads to every child in his school (http://speirs.org/blog/tag/theipadproject) and he has now listed all the apps that they use: http://speirs.org/blog/2010/10/1/ipad-apps-for-primary.html.

I will be looking into each of these and trying them out to see how the girls do with.
