Life, always getting in the way! ⇒

So you know how we had grand plans to do the flooring first? We had every intention of doing that, I promise, but darn life got in the way. Stopping us from continuing with the floors is:

1. the front windows have some pretty bad drafts, so we are replacing the front windows (~$2800).
2. our dishwasher didn't actually wash dishes, so we replaced that with a nice Bosch.
3. there is no sound proofing between the suite and upstairs, so we need to rip out the ceiling tiles, put in acoustic batting then drywall the ceiling.

The good news is that we rented our suite, so we might be able to actually afford all that!
