The work has begun… ⇒

As expected we have started to reno the house in ways that weren't planned. A few days ago some florescent tubes burnt out in the kitchen. We were just going to replace the tubes, but instead we decided to take the light right off. We think we want track lighting in there (as well as a recessed light over the sink), but we aren't sure, so we are just going to buy a super cheap light until we can figure it out.

There are several items that really both us, so I imagine when I go get an el' cheapo light, I will get a new sink faucet as well as our current one doesn't work well and is inconvenient (can't fill the Brita up when there are dishes in the sink).

Christine bought me one of those fancy rainfall showerheads, so we will have to get the en suite bathroom functional as well (missing a shower rod and curtain) toute de suite.

I went to Able Auctions yesterday to see what kind of flooring and appliances one could get and if it was a good deal. Short answer is: great deals, but caveat emptor to the max! No returns, refunds nor warranties nor any guarantees that the appliances work or the wood is flat. Make sure you know EXACTLY what you are looking for!
