Fairies Rule ⇒

Recall the blog entry about the Jaguar Party? Well, as I was telling Elise about the new house and we were looking at some photos, I, trying to ease her probable nerves about the move, told her we would paint her bedroom the same way it is now: one red wall, the rest white. I chose this colour scheme before we knew that Elise was a girl. I love their room. It is my favourite room in this house. The red and white are so pretty and fun and there is a big red kite on one of the white walls. Friends gave us red decorations for shower gifts: a red wagon, a fish mobile. Then there is the beautiful red kite quilt my mum made on my request when I was pregnant with Elise and has since made a quilt for Daniella with red in it as well.

Well...

When I told Elise of my plans to make their room the same, she announces "No Mama, I'd like a pink room."

sigh...pink it shall be, thought I as I recalled my efforts in vain to trick Elise into having a fairy party instead of a Jaguar Party.

So I set out to Benjamin Moore to choose a pink that wouldn't offend Erin and that would go ok with the red quilt. I took a look through their stick on murals and found a red and pink castle with GASP fairy princesses in red dresses!!! Put that in your pipe and smoke it, baby Jaguar! Fairies Rule!
