Three Firsts in One Weekend ⇒

Last weekend Elise made three firsts.

1. She went pee on the potty. I wish you could have seen the look on her face. I just bought the potty so she could get used to having it around and she really wanted to sit on it. I showed her the photo on the box of the little girl sitting on it without pants on so she wanted to sit on it like that too. So she was sitting there and I noticed she started peeing. She looked really surprised and tried to stand up but I put my handson her knwws and told her "don't be afraid. That's what's supposed to happen! You're peeing on the potty! Good Girl! I'm so proud!" and her face broke into a huge grin.
2. She put a pair of pants on all by herself. She happened to be standing in our entry way which has a tile floor. So, naturally after she did it the first time, she wanted to try again. So she went back to the entry way to try again. This time, though, she didn't get her feet all the way through so when she stood up, she was standing on the pant legs and tipped over. I then made the fatal mistake of trying to help her. She got more and more frustrated until finally, in a fit of tears, she ran away and ran SMACK into the wall that was behind her. It was all my fault. Bad Mama!
3. She said her own name. We were playing one of her favourite games "I have one, Mama has one, Papa has one...etc" She pointed to my shirt and said "Mama's shirt" and then pointed to herself and said "Lisey's shirt"
