Peek-a-boo ⇒

Elise recently learned how to play peek-a-boo (or as I've been calling it "peeky peek"). We started off by putting a blanket over her face then pulling it off and saying "peeky peek!" Then I put the blanket on her face ("where's Elise?") and left it until she pulled it off herself so I could say "peeky peek!" she very quickly caught on to this game and we've been playing it for a couple of weeks.

While we were on the plane I gave her a receiving blanket to play with and she started pulling it up over her face and pulling it down again with a big smile on her face. This was the first time she initiated a game with me (at least that I know of!) It was so cute.

So later during the flight I laid her down on her tummy in the sky cot while she was sleeping. When she started to wake up, she pushed herself up so she could see us over the top of the cot-big smile on her face. Then she started laying her head down and suddenly pushing herself up to look at us over and over again, each time with a bigger, cheekier smile on her face and we finally caught on that she was playing peeky peek with us!
