Hapkido ⇒
In my 6th week.
Tonight I attended a Hapkido class. She told our instructors about the baby because, well, I just thought they should be aware. The doctor said I could continue with Hapkido but should keep my activity level moderate. Robert and Emma would have wondered why I was slacking off. They are going to help me with my new goals.
How'm I feelin'? Waves of exhaustion. Bloated. Heartburn. Hungry but can't eat very much. Everything tastes funny. Nothing tastes particularly good.
Emma noticed some changes in my technique. It's amazing what a woman's body is programmed to do to protect the cargo. We were doing some poking kicks and I was having trouble pivoting. Emma thinks it's because the position required for a poking kick leaves my belly in a vulnerable position and makes me suceptible to falling. I also found that I have no energy and my muscles and joints are tired. It was even tough just to hold the paddles for Erin to kick.
