So, after all my research and bargaining and whining, I finally bought it! All 46 inches of it!! I will take posession of my new Samsung HLP466s DLP flat screen, rear projection TV on Tuesday!

I also bought the Samsung HD841 upscaling DVD player. There was another DVD player that was ranked higher, but the Samsung is available right now. I may still try to find the other DVD player and see what it is like.

First DVD that will be played on my TV? The new release of Star Wars of course!!!

Update: Got the TV yesterday. Turns out that I couldn't get it in the car and had to get it delivered. Man, what a big box!! Took me about 2 hours to take everything apart and to put it back together again so that we could at least watch regular cable. Had some interesting sections in there, like when I could either here the cable or see the cable, but not both!! At the end of those two hours I still couldn't watch a DVD though. Turns out that in order to get the DVD working on DVI, you have to have a component/s-video connection first. Then switch the DVD player to DVI, then switch the TV to the DVI input.

There are many things for me to work out, like if I can assign screen size and settings to a particular profile. I also need to get that new remote so that I can get rid of all my other remotes. But my first impression is WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW!!
