LIFE IS SO NOT FAIR ⇒
I come back from our wonderful, glorious weekend to find this in my email:
<IMG SRC="../cathie.jpg" /> Moore - Cathie passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2004 after losing her personal battle with breast cancer. She is sorely missed by her immediate family, Rick Bekar (husband); Lucas (son); Morgan (daughter); Doug and Sandra Moore (parents); Steven Moore (brother). By her married family, Roseanne Bekar (mother); Rose Levar (sister); Maria Bekar (sister); Cliff Bekar (brother). By her grandparents, Dempster and Clara Moore, and Daisy Feeney. Cathie also leaves a close-knit extended family and many friends. Whatever awaits Cathie, she will have a guide in her grandfather Norm Feeney who passed 10 years previous. The family wishes all who knew Cathie to join them in bidding her good luck on her new journey. Cathie's memorial will be held Saturday, May 8th at 1:30 at the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. A reception will be held afterwards at the same address.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made to the Cancer Centre for the Southern Interior, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, BC V1Y5L3. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting http://www.springfieldfuneralhome.com
The funeral arrangements are by Springfield Funeral Home Ltd. 250-860-7077.
I worked with Rick while at Orbital and PowrTools. He is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and also one of the smartest. He and Cathie's first child, Lucas, had (and may still have) many health problems that they all battled through.
And now this. I can't even adequately express my feelings...it just feels so wrong.
Fuck.
Farewell Cathie, you will be greatly missed. To Rick and family, our thoughts are with you.
