Damn it! I had a huge entry written up and I accidentally closed the window. D'oh!

We have had a great weekend! It started with picking Nigel, Mel & Claire (who we have never met) at the airport. They all live in Boston so we don't get to see them much, so this was quite the treat! We walked around Stanley Park for a while and then went to our place to chat. It was great to catch up again as we hadn't seen each other for over a year!

In the evening we went to see Crush at Richard's on Richards. To start the evening though, we went to [Dix][267] for some dinner and some brews. You just gotta love that place, eh? 5 awesome beers for $15!! Due to the 7:30pm start time, the concert was quite sparsley attended, but we still had a good time. After all, it was a band from The Rock (not this one, this one!!) that opened for Great Big Sea a while back; how bad could they be. I was expecting Celtic music, but I got a band that sounded like a hard Matchbox 20! After that we went to the home of the best pour (of Guiness of course!) in town, the Irish Heather. Mmmmm...Guiness and the best Scotch list! Nummy!

Saturday brought a lovely dinner and chat with our friends from band, Josh & Jenny. Josh is a phenomenal drummer and Jenny plays a mean baritone sax. It was nice to get caught up with all the gossip from our band (which we are not doing this year) and to find out what they are up to. Josh, who works at Commericial Electronics, and I had a great conversation about my next home theatre system. We are going to start with a new Marantz receiver, then add some new speakers. After that we will have to save up for our new TV! But we think we can get the whole thing for under $10K, so that is not too bad.

Ultimate was cancelled on Sunday, which sucks, but it did mean that we could go down to visit my parents earlier than we had planned. Played some tennis, had a great dinner, caught up, played some cards and came home.

Whew, quite the weekend!
