Movies, movies, movies and more movies ⇒
I realized that I have seen a bunch of movies without reviewing them. Shame on me! These reviews will be short, don't worry!
American Wedding: better than the second one, not as funny as the first. They again have Stifler eating/drinking something disgusting, and Michelle being horny and creative! Quite a few good laughs and not serious at all. My kind of movie.
Matrix Reloaded: I guess I just don't get it as most of the movie didn't make much sense to me. Seemed like the whole movie was just setting up the third one. I hope it explains things more. Great action scenes though. And Neo is even tougher this time!
Hollywood Homicide: The worst movie I have ever seen. Don't bother. Don't even look at the cover. Run away fast!!
Bend It Like Beckham: Quite a good movie. It revolves around an East Indian girl who is a wicked football (soccer) player. She wants to play on the local team, but her parents are very conservative and won't allow it. I think this is an example of a Bollywood/Hollywood movie. Made by East Indians, but with at least one Hollywood star. I hope there are more of these movies.
Bruce Almighty: Jim Carrey as God? How can that not be funny? It was extremely silly, with at least one absolutely hilarious scene! Worth seeing. And it has Jennifer Aniston in it. She is yummy!
Matchstick Men: Great movie! Neat twists, good acting, engrossing story. I like Nicolas Cage and he definately doesn't disappoint! Plays a very twitchy guy!
Pirates of the Caribbean: Christine had already seen this movie and really liked it, so I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I wasn't that impressed. Although I liked Johnny Depp (is he ever bad?), I thought the story wasn't very good. That may have had something to do with me working while watching it, so I may have missed some crucial plot keys. But I don't think it would have helped. Some trivia for you: apparently, Depp based his character on Keith Richards!!
In case you are wondering where I saw all those movies, 3 were on a plane, 1 in a hotel room, one in the theatre and the rest were rented. You have to figure out which is which!
