Weekend adventures ⇒

As you are aware I went down to my parents for the weekend. I was hoping to get golfing and get some tennis lessons. I am happy to report I accomplished both of my goals. Saturday morning I went golfing with the old man. The front nine was a little rough and I shot at 48. But I perked up on the back nine and improved my putting. My final score was 93...a good score for me on that course (which is deceptively hard) in December.

Next up, the courts. My mom is a wicked tennis player who has been taking lessons for several years. I wanted to fix my serve, but we warmed up with some simple volleying. Then we worked on my ground strokes for while, which were fine, but my positioning and preperation needed work. Finally, we get to my woeful service. Guess what? She fixed it! With a few simple changes I now have a first serve and a second serve!

I won't be embarassed on the courts anymore! Yah!
