Ok, ok I've put this off long enough. Elise turned one two weeks ago. It has been an amazing year which can best be described in contrasts. It has gone by really fast yet I feel like I've been her mother forever. She is getting so big yet she seems so small when she's curled up in her crib sleeping. Today was our 6th (!!) wedding anniversary, can you believe it?
This was probably the first anniversary where we didn't do anything just the two of us. Some close friends were over for the weekend from the island, which was great as we got to spend time with them and their cutie-patootie child. However, we are debating dumping the fiend with the grandparents and going to Whistler this weekend to see some friends. Might be nice to have a night out sans bebe for our anniversary.

If you are on an express bus late in the evening, and there are only a few stops near your house, don't, I repeat, don't fall asleep! Otherwise you will spend 40 minutes walking home from a distant bus stop at 11:20pm!!
