Many of you know (from my more frequent and insistent emails) that my job search has switched into high gear! Well, I am starting to see some results from my efforts! I had a phone interview with Jaalam for an inside sales job. Not sure if it is the the job for more me, but at least it provides some interview and salary negotiating practice. I will hopefully hear more from them today.

So that job I really, really, really wanted? I didn't get it! Damn. There was some good news to come out it though. They do want me, they are just going through a little re-org right now and don't have the bandwidth to hire anyone. Although I have to admit it sounds a little odd, "We like you, we know you can help, but we can't hire you right now." To me that sounds a little like, "Sorry, don't bother throwing that rope, I'm too busy treading water to grab onto...

First stop on my trip...an evening in Chicago. I got a pleasant surprise when I arrived at the airport. Instead of getting a flight to Seattle and then transferring to a flight to Chicago, I got a direct flight! Nice. The only downside was that I had to spend a couple hours at the airport...that OK though, got a few things done.

Flight left on time. Movie was Signs by the "famed" M. Night Shyamalan.

I thought the movie was terrible! The story was weak, the acting was mediocre....
