Silly Erin...he goes away on a grand vacation with his whole family and neglects to blog about it.

Long time readers of this blog will remember that Christine and I have gone to see our good friends Nigel and Melody wherever they have lived. First we went to Boston in 2002, then France in 2005. As I was walking around with Elise tonight, we were talking about her 2nd plane trip (although first that she will remember) and we got to thinking about how many plane trips Mama has been on. I first guessed 12 plane trips, but Christine thought more, so we sat down and she thought about it. The list that follows is almost in the correct order; here's the list she came up with:

  • 85 - England with her family
  • 93 - Toronto (work)
  • 93 - Disneyland w/ family
  • 94 - Ottawa (work)
  • 95 - Dallas...

1st Family Vacation ⇒

This past week we went to Kelowna for our first family vacation as a foursome. So as to share our fun, we went with the Perkinses. After all, 4 adults and 4 children under 4 is better than 2 adults and 2 children under 2, right?

We stayed at Holiday Park Resort in Erica's parent's timeshare condo. This complex is something else; it is mostly full of mobile homes and RVs...like 500 of them! There are 4 or 5 pools, several activity centres, 6 hole golf course, a fine dining restaurant,...

When the VP of Sales left Epic, he let me know that I had a credit with Air Canada. The good/bad thing about AC credits is that only the original ticket holder can use that credit, so last weekend I used that credit to go see my friend Clay in Portland. I met Clay in first year university when we both lived on the same floor in rez and we have managed to stay in touch since then, even though we have rarely been in the same city.
